MDCC18 - Card Design Team Call and a Fun Sketch!!

Hello and thanks for stopping by! We've got a lot of fun things to share with you today! Of course, our next big design team search for our card team starts TODAY!! Keep reading to find out how to apply....
But first we want to congratulate our players from last week - we loved everyone's take on the challenge to use acetate and/or make a window card. We loved this card from Dawn - she actually made... a window!

How fun is that?? Thanks so much to everyone who played along - we love looking at your creations each week!
This week, Maria designed a fun sketch for us to use:

And look at her beautiful sample:

Maria Levine - Ria Creations

Maria used patterned paper from Basic Grey's granola collection, the Serendipity Stamp "Titmouse", and a flower and brad from Imaginisce.

Here are the beautiful creations from the rest of the team:

Linda Boucher - MDC Linda's Page

Linda used papers, rub-ons, and accessories from My Little Yellow Bicycle's Christmas Magic collection.

Tamara McKlveen - MDC Tamara's Page

Tamara used papers, rub-ons, and chipboard from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie collection, Christmas Red Stickles, and a brad from Imaginisce.

You can play along too! Leave us a link in the comment section of this post, and if you upload to Splitcoast Stampers used key word MDCC18. We have another prize this week - you could win this cool pack of rub-ons from Imaginisce - just in time for holiday card making!

We can't wait to see your awesome creations!

And now, finally, it's time to start our search for next Card Design Team members! If you're interested in our design team tryouts, here's what you need to do:
1. Start playing the weekly challenges
2. Submit three other cards and one altered project to us at MDCreations.tlm@gmail.com . These do not have to be made special for this call - we just want to see what you think your best work is. Please make sure to reduce your picture size to below 600x600 pixels!
3. In your email, include your name, contact information, your blog or gallery link, and answers to the following questions:
-How long have you been stamping or cardmaking?
-Do you design for any other webstores or sites; if so, please provide links.
-Why are you trying out for the MDC Design Team?
-How did you hear about the MDC DT search?
4. All entries are due by November 30th. Winners will be announced December 4th!

The following tips might be helpful:
1. Photography counts! We'd like the work you upload to be easy to see and professional looking.
2. We're looking for someone who can upload the weekly challenge, along with additional random layouts on a fairly regular basis.
3. We're looking for designers who are fairly flexible with their creations; of course, we'll probably be picking you based on your unique 'style', but if a challenge calls for a break away from that, a good designer should be capable of adapting. In addition, you should be comfortable working on altered items and/or home decor items.
4. If you do design for another store, the product lines they carry should be different from what MDC carries.
5. DT term will be for six months. During that time, you will be offered discounts and special promotions not available to other customers. In addition, we'll link your blog and promote your work as much as possible!

OK, I guess that about covers it! Please feel free to contact Tamara at the email dress above if you have ANY questions! Thanks SO much for your interest - can't wait to see what you create!
