Day 6 of the Mothers and Daughters Traditions Blogroll... ATC's!

Hello and welcome back to the Mothers and Daughters Traditions blog roll!

Today our challenge is to make an ATC card! This challenge is being hosted by Leah and you definitely want to check out her blog and her super cute sample! Now here at MDC we have a resident expert on ATC's, Cathy Weider. Cathy AND her computer have both been sick, so she hasn't been able to get her post up, but you can still visit Cathy's blog to check out two awesome tutorials on making ATC cards, here and here. We love Cathy's work and we're sad she couldn't be with us today, but we just happen to have a beautiful ATC swap card created by Cathy and sent to us during an Design Team swap a few weeks back:

Giovana is also not feeling well today - we thought we'd try to cheer her up by posting the beautiful sample she made for our swap as well:

They're both so sweet! Sending warm chicken soup hugs to both ladies and hope they are feeling better soon!

To continue on with the blog roll, visit Tamara's blog to learn about using ATC's as part of your scrapbooking!

We hope you have time to play along and create your own ATC! Cathy has put together a mini ATC treasure chest to go out as today's blog candy but you have to play to win! All you need to do is create an ATC (and if possible use one on a scrapbook page!) and then leave a comment on Leah's blog with a link to your creation! You have until May 16th to complete all the blog roll challenges, so make sure to scroll back and find any that you missed!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Blog Roll Day 2 - Special Pages for Moms...

I grew up in a family with lots of mothers. I had my mom, my grandmothers and my great-grandmothers. We all lived near each other and usually celebrated Mother's Day with a large family get together. It wasn't until I began scrapbooking that I realized how much I had learned and benefited from having so many "mothers" in my life.

The hardest thing for me to do when papercrafting is to find the right words to add to my project. I have pictures and tons of paper to go with them, but what should I say? I thought it might be helpful to have a collection of Mother's Day ideas close at hand, so here is a link to a free special download we have added to our webstore. There are two pages of clippable quotes that you can use as title ideas, journaling prompts, or card sentiments - we hope you enjoy them!

And to continue with the crafting fun for day two of our blog roll, we also have a special scrapbooking challenge for today - a beautiful sketch brought to us by Robin Wade. Be sure to hop on over to Robin's blog to play along and upload your page to be entered into a drawing to win a Crafty Secrets mini album! Then bounce over to Laurie and Melita's blogs to see the pages they created to go with Robin's sketch - you won't want to miss them!!

Thanks for stopping in today and be sure to hop back in tomorrow - we have more two great new challenges for you along with more chances to win free stuff!!
