Week 3 - Bo Bunny Paper! (Or, a color challenge!)

Wow, what an exciting turn out for week 2! We got so many entries I'm going to have to come back a little later to let y'all know who won! I HAVE to get this post up - it's already 3:30 here! So, the challenge this week was to use paper from the Bo Bunny line at Mothers and Daughters. Now, as always, we want everyone to be able to play, so if you don't happen to have the Bo Bunny paper, you can do use the color palette from the Beachy Keen line as your challenge!! The SU colors that most closely correspond are: Always Artichoke, Pumpkin Pie, Bliss Blue (or Bordering Blue, or Blue Bayou - there really was no close match for the blue!), Certainly Celery, and So Saffron! So, that's five colors - whew! Check out the awesome design team samples for this week, and stay tuned to view this weeks give away!

Week 2 - A Tool Challenge!

Wow, first let me say I'm so excited about our new little blog and how much easier it makes it for other people to play along with us! Thank you so much to everyone who played! This morning I put everyone's names into a cup and pulled out Stephanie's name! Whoo hoo - Stephanie wins last weeks prize package!! (Be sure to pm me with your address!) Check out her awesome giraffe card!

This week our hostess Lynda came up with another exciting topic - a tool challenge! I don't know that I've ever seen this done except as part of a limited supply challenge or something, so what a fun topic! The challenge this week is to use Nestabilities dies! Now, we're not sticklers here, so if you don't have Nestabilities die cuts, you can still play - you can use shape punches, scallop punches, circle cutters - whatever you have that will approximate the look! Check out Lynda's exciting sample:

Lynda Benden - Stamp Act

For those who might not be familiar with Nestabilities, the ovals around the mustang are the Nestabilities. Look at how Lynda used the Nestabilities to frame that gorgeous face - awesome card!

And here are the design team samples:

Maria Levine - Ria Creations

This little note card set is SO adorable - and piece standing up is a little holder - how creative is Maria??

Cindy Haffner - Cindy Haffner's Corner

What an adorable card!! The sentiment just kills me!

Jennifer Meyer - Sweet Treat Designs

Another beautiful mustang card - I think the Daisy Bucket paper is fabulous with that face!!

Linda Boucher - Mothers and Daughters Creations Mom's Page

Mom made these beautiful pages with our new paper from Kaiser Craft - goes great with these pictures from the Sea Turtle rescue facility we visited in Florida!

Tamara McKlveen - Mothers and Daughters Creations - Tamara's Page

My creation is a Christmas tree ornament - I totally stole the basic idea from a Basic Grey ornament pack but I used the scallop edged circles!

To keep things rolling happily along, we're offering another prize pack this well!

This weeks prize package includes two stamp packs from Scenic Route, Elastic Trim from Paper Salon, one 6x6 Archaic Paper Pad, an alterable album from Crafty Secrets, and some paper flowers from Prima! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with - have a great week!

All you need to do is link your entry to a comment here. If you upload to Splitcoast, you can use keyword MDC. Oh, and did I say something about prizes??? This week everyone who plays the challenge will be entered into a drawing for these Fabulous Prizes used in our sample cards this week:

The prize package includes one set of Perfect Pearls, one 6x6 pack of sei Jolie Chocolat paper, the Serendipity stamp Lynda used on her card, the penguin stamp that Maria used, the giraffe stamp that Cindy used, and a little table top trash bin from Croppin' Companion - how cool is that? Hope you guys enjoy playing and can't wait to see what you come up with! And, if you get a chance, take a quick trip over to the store - we're having a 10% off everything sale!!
