Week 13 - Pop-Up Challenge

Hello and thanks for stopping by the Mothers & Daughters Challenge Blog. A special thanks to those who were able to participate last week! Check out this 'spooktacular' card by Marie, based on last weeks sketch:

Look at all the detail - what a great card!

This month's challenges are put together by one of our owners, Linda! This week Linda has chosen a pop-up card, or a card with movable parts. There is no time limit and we would love it if you played along!! If you post your card to Splitcoast, please use "MDC" in the keywords. Here's what our design team did:

Card by Jennifer Meyer, Jennifer's Sweet Designs

Card by Maria Levine, Riacreations

Card by Cindy Haffner, Cindy Haffner's Corner

Card by Tamara McKlveen, MDC Tam's Page

We'd like to take a moment to introduce you to a very special new member of our design team, Giovana!

Giovana has been wowing us with her work for a long time! I just knew before I did the formal posting for new design team members we had to invite her to our team - we hope you are as inspired by her work as we are! Here's what she had to say:

My name is Giovana Smith, born and raised in Peru. In 2001 I met David online through some Mission Work our churches were doing. Since then, we became friends and then more than friends. We got engaged and married in Peru in July 2002. Then I moved here to the States and started a new life here. At the beginning it wasn't easy at all, first was the language barrier and also differences about life style . But I would say now I love this country and it's people. We have a little girl who is four and her name is Rebecca, she is sweet and a great talker!!! I homeschool her and she is doing great.

I started making cards 3 years ago, but seriously like a year and half. I didn't know anything about card making before, so I participated in a couple of MSN groups. Those ladies taught me a lot and I still in contact with few of them. Since then I have learned everything by myself. I love to watch tutorial videos so I can get new ideas.

I am so excited to work with Mothers and Daughters and the great Design Team they have. Thanks so much for the invitation. You are welcome to visit me at: http://giovana-believe.blogspot.com/

Welcome Giovana! We're so excited to have you with us. Look at the beautiful card she created for this week's challenge:

Interested in joinning our design team? On Wednesday, October 8 we'll be introducing you to the charter members of our scrapbooking design team. Mom and I are avid scrapbookers, so we've been anxious for quite a while to get the scrapbook side of our little business growing! Then, in November, we'll be posting a call for members for the card design team. If you are interested in either team, start playing some of our challenges NOW! We'd love to see what you can do!

Thanks for stopping Mothers & Daughters Creations!! :)
