MDCSB16 - Scrapbook Mondays - A Winter Theme

Good evening scrappy ladies!! It's Monday (OK, a little after, but almost!!) We could not BELIEVE the incredible response we had to last week's challenge - it took quite a while to view them all!! I am always so awed by the awesome talent out there in blogger land - thank you so much to everyone who participated in last week's sketch challenge!! It was so depressing to have to pick just one winner when we want everyone to win, but, rules are rules and pick a winner we did!!

So, without further ado, here is the page submitted by the winner of last week's challenge, CJ:

What a striking page!! CJ, make sure you email me so I can get your stamp set out... and thanks to everyone who played. We SO enjoyed viewing all your creations :)

This week, our challenge to you is to create a winter themed page. Simple enough! Check out our designer's handywork:

Mia Montalvan-Castrillo - Scrappin Mama Mia

Mia used papers from Best Creations and Imaginisce. The ribbon is May Arts, the flower Imaginisce, and the bling swirl is from Prima.

Maria Levine - Ria Creations

Maria used papers from Imaginisce and Melissa Frances.

Melita Chow - By His Grace

Melita made this great pocket page for her seasonal cards using paper from Best Creations and My Little Yellow Bicycle.

If you want to play along, all you need to do is leave us a link to your picture in the comment section of this post. If you have a blog, feel free to direct us to your blog post; if you upload to Papercraft Planet or Splitcoast, please use keyword MDCSB16. It's that simple! One talented scrapper will be featured at the top of next week's post!

Thanks so much for stopping by MDC - we can't wait to see your winter pages!

MDCSB15 - Scrapbook Mondays - Try A Sketch!

Happy Monday scrapbookers!! This is such an exciting week! We are collaborating this week with Julie Bonner over at the 52 sketches...52 weeks blog!! We just love Julie's blog and her beautiful sketches - we use them all the time!!

So, this week if you head over to the 52 sketches blog and upload a project based on this week's sketch, you might win a 12x12 collection pack of Basic Gray Urban Prarie patterned paper and stickers. Then, if you complete our challenge here you have another opportunity to win - the Basic Gray Urban Prarie Wildflowers stamp set to match the paper pack!! Exciting stuff, right?? Here's a look at the stamp set:

Be sure not to miss the beautiful page Julie completed as her sample this week using the Urban Prarie paper... just gorgeous!!

Our challenge this week is pretty simple - we want to see your page based on any of Julie's sketches, past or present! Two rules apply - it needs to be a NEW page, one you have created this week for this challenge. Rule two is that it can't be the same layout you submit at the 52 sketches blog... it can be based on the same sketch if you want, but it has to be a different layout. That's pretty much it! We hope you'll find time to complete both fun challenges this week and maybe win some goodies!!

Check out the awesome layouts our design team created for this week's challenge:

Maria Levine - Ria Creations
Maria used sketch 33 for her layout. The polka dot paper is from Bo Bunny and the other paper and embellishments are from the Melissa Frances Hush A Bye Boy page kit.

Robin Wade - Creating Memories One Moment at a Time
Robin used sketch #2 from the 2009 sketches. She used papers from Imaginisce's Snowy Jo line.

April Dycus
April also used sketch #2 from the 2009 sketches. April used papers and embellishments from Daisy Bucket's Perfect Harmony collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Make sure you head over to the store to check out the new Twitterpated line from Imaginisce - SUPER cute!!! Have a great week and Happy Creating!!

MDCSB13 - Scrapbook Monday - New and Improved!

Hello scrapbookers, and welcome to 2009! It seems unreal how fast the years fly by these days - part of it is that all of January is spent recovering from the holidays, I think :)

To start the new year off right, we thought this week would be a great week to showcase things that are new and improved, or things that will be new and improved in the coming year!

At MDC, we plan to make a lot of positive changes! We'll be continuing with our customer appreciation program so that all our repeat customers will start reaping some reward for their loyalty!! We're also bringing in new lines and expanding selections we already have. We'll be bringing back our popular kits, so that one stop shopping and scrapping will be a little easier, and hope to add some on-line classes and tutorials! We can't wait to get started on our new projects!

What else is new and improved? We just got word that Julie Bonner over at 52 weeks 52 sketches has started a brand new community board for her site - you definitely have to check it out! We've really enjoyed using her sketches in the past and can't wait to see what she'll bring to us this year!

I know that personally I have SO many things to improve on, it would be hard to choose just one for a layout - lol!!! I know a biggie for me, though... time management! I hope to bring you a layout on that later in the week.... hehehe....

That's why we have such a talented design team! Check out this awesome weight loss journal page from Robin:

I just love this idea! Way to take something so UNFUN - dieting - and make it a little more fun by scrapping it! Robin used papers from Daisy Bucket's Perfect Harmony collection - awesome job!!
We can't wait to see what you can share with us! Leave us a comment here with a link to your picture; if you upload to Splitcoast Stampers or Papercraft planet please use keyword MDCSB13.

This week, one talented scrapper will win the Arrows stamp set from Scenic Route!! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and make sure you spend the first week of the year creating something fun!
